The Broadbent Sisters with The Beaches: ‘Rising Venus’ includes a psychedelic explosion of fluorescent rocks with a holographic goddess in the centre, whose aura changes colour with the viewers' mood. Reminiscent of Botticelli’s famous painting, ‘Birth of Venus’, the young woman takes back the essence of rock and roll.
The Broadbent Sisters are multidisciplinary artists based in Toronto. Their unfolding practice, ‘Clearing Spaces,’ examines themes of meditation, telepathy, eco-feminism, and pop spirituality.
